I have been an animal lover as far back as I can remember. Throughout the years as I was growing up I have had different dog breeds, but a little over 25 years ago a GSD came into my life who I named Lady. Ever since then I have been hooked on German Shepherds.
Like most animal lovers know, there are certain ones who really touch our hearts and others who touch our souls.
There was one that touched me very deeply and his name was Reuben. I LOVE all my GSD’s, and each one holds special memories for me, but Reuben was one of my best friends and even to this day when I think of him, I get tears in my eyes. You can read his memorial memory here.
A beautiful German Shepherd Dog can stop and turn my head whether I’m in the car, out for a walk or watching TV. I find their appearance and color irresistible. I adore their proud walk and the love they freely give to the people who care for them.
Someday I would like to raise a GSD for show, but for now I’m contented to love them as my companions and some of the best friends I have had.
With the GSD’s I have had over the years, their love and companionship I feel lucky to have shared my life with each and everyone of them. GSD Memories was created to share past and current memories of my beloved German Shepherds all who one way or another touched my life over the past 25 plus years. May the stories touch your hearts as much as the German Shepherds that you will read about have touched my heart.
